Entry Requirements

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent  
or
Non school-leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies
Prerequisite knowledge and skills are required that demonstrate basic fundamental ICT knowledge and skills that are in line with the Learning Outcomes from the following units:

Program Duration

Full Time        12 months
(Includes 6 months Certificate IV - see ICA40305 brochure for details of study)
Full-time classes are usually timetabled between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Part Time: 24-36 months (depending on study program chosen)
Part-time classes are timetabled between 6:00pm and 9:30pm week nights.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.

You can apply on online at QTAC`s Website, or alternatively QTAC guides can be purchased from most newsagencies. QTAC applications must be received by the last Friday of September for programs starting first semester the following year or before the end of May for programs starting second semester in the current year. Late applications are available and attract a late fee. Contact QTAC for more details.

Applications Close

For Full Time applicants there are two intakes per year, and applications are made in May for a July intake and September for a February intake. Part Time applications are open until two weeks prior to commencement of each semester. Semester one starts in mid February with semester two starting in mid July.
